Nick Nolte escapes Malibu home fire, with scrapes on arm

Nick Nolte’s Malibu, CA home broke out in a fire on Tuesday. The actor was upstairs in a bedroom when he smelled the fire. He went downstairs too see the room on fire and escaped threw a window he needed to bust open.

Nolte, got out the garden hose and started extinguishing the fire until the fire department arrived. It took firefighters about 26 minutes to douse the blaze, which damaged a portion of the home.

The fire was reported at 11:34 a.m. at Nolte’s secluded Bonsall Drive home. The electrical fire started in the living room.

About $3 million in total damages were estimated, half of it structural damage and half damage to the contents of the home, including “collectibles, artwork, the furniture.

Nolte got minor cuts and bruises from hopping out of the window. Glad he is safe.
